Virus Snow - leave plugged in and skin question

I know in the manual it says you can leave the virus plugged in and put it in sleep mode. Is there any danger to this?

Second, I tried to find a skin for the virus snow (something like this: http://www.styleflip.com/categories_name-c-1_16) but came up empty handed. Has anyone put a skin on their virus? Are the knobs easy to take off and put on? I ask because I hear it adds 50 more voices to the synth
