I have to disagree with the 'per part' browser view. That would be a practical nightmare - you find something and think that would be great, then you go to the part and whoops you've lost it.
Don't forget that you already have two browser views - so you can effect this pretty well already - leads at the top and basses at the bottom!
There's a revert feature for going back to a previous patch.
How do you organize basses at the bottom? I don't see a category drop down menu on the bottom part of the browser. That's fine if you don't want to work this way but that's why we should at least have the option of being able to set it up like this.

i disagree, it is a wide spread user interface convention that "touching" an object should execute/open it. but if it helps, move around with the keyboards cursor keys.
this is because it is a browser and there is only one browser for all parts. it would be rather confusing if the browser would have 16 states, especially if you have one bank which you choose from and you have to re-select it for every part in question.
best, marc
Maybe you don't understand what I'm trying to say because it actually makes perfect sense in my point of view.
For instance, I'm browsing lead sounds in channel 1. Then I go to channel 2 to find a bass. But that clears out the
lead patches that I was just looking at. If I want to go back and continue browsing through the leads where
I left off, I have to click the category page and select Leads, Page #, etc. It would be easier and speed up workflow
If I just clicked on channel 1 and i'm right back to the preset page where that patch was selected
in the first place. Also would help if the second half of the browser page had a category drop down menu as well.
Make sense? -
Thanks but i'm using 4.02.01 and I swapped out the usb cable but last night this happened again when I minimized the Logic window.
This time Logic just quit unexpectedly. -
If you're using the VC multi-timbral and have a separate patch from different roms on channels 1,
2, 3, etc - you click back on the first channel it's still the presets from the rom that you browsed last
(not the bank from which the channel one sound was chosen). It should show the same rom bank that the preset
was chosen in the first place. Make sense? Sorry, it's kind of hard to explain...Also would like to be able to do a single click to change presets. Double-clicking is just unnecessary...

I just started using a Virus TI2 keyboard with Logic 9 32 bit and it's giving me the spinning beach ball a lot.
I have to force quit Logic and I just lost a project I was working on because of it. I'm using the multi-out version
of virus control and latest software for everything. It usually happens right after I click on a preset or trying to load
another instrument in Logic. It happens randomly so I haven't quite figured out what causes it only that it's
the Virus Control plugin because this didn't happen before I got it. Anyone else get the spinning beach ball
that never stops? -

Confirmed, the free Virus TI soundset found here: http://www.vengeance-sound.com…exes/indexFreeSounds.html
does not show up in VC. I'm on Mac. Any ideas? -

So can we only apply separate effects to 3 channels instead of 16? Why is my usb 3 greyed out? I can't select it.

What's the explanation for why we have to bounce in realtime with the Virus TI?
-
Ok, how do we sidechain only one channel and it not effect the other Virus sounds in Logic. I want to be able to EQ them separately as well within Logic.
Where is the Logic/Virus TI tutorial/demo song? I'd like to load it as a template but can't find it. Thanks! -
We need to get this fixed. This is a major deal. Trying to sidechain bass but I don't wanna sidechain every instrument. Is this not possible to solve?

Hi, i'm new to the Virus TI and was wondering if the soundsets available to download on this website are
already included in OS 4 or do you have to download them separately? Also any recommendations on
third party sites that make patch banks for the virus? Thank you! -
Hi,
I tried to use the analog outs plugged directly into my Apogee Duet into Logic but it's clipping at any volume.
I can turn it way down but then can barely hear it. I have the inputs in Maestro set to "instrument". Turning down
the Duet or the Virus doesn't help (I still get distortion unless it's turned way down). Also when using it USB in Logic
I get the random bursts of noise when browsing through patches. It happens randomly and it doesn't stop. I have to
open up a new instance of Virus control. Using the latest software. Any ideas? Thanks!
