after you initialize your board in the device setup menu.. just activate the virus in the vst instrument tab and you will get a chanel out. of course use midi that way you can have lots of chanels to play with just by adding a new midi track every time u need a new sound.

the config name you use in the device setup menu must be included in every new midi track.. as well dont forget to change the chanel numbers for each subsequent track added.

the virus control synchs very nicely with this method of recording.

Hello and thanks for looking in to my dilemma!

I've a ti and cubase 5.. everything works so far except I would like to directly export/mixdown my virus tracks in midi format from cubase5 alongside the rest of the music recorded as 'audio'

I've tried the cubase manual and it doesnt (to my knowledge so far) support an explanation.

am I going to be forced to get a plugin for this or is there a way to get a mixdown without sending out a signal and feeding it back again (to/from mixer.. i tried this and unfortunately didnt get a quality sound due to the 1/8 inch input jack possibly damaged)
