I'm also a Emu 1616m user and I tested Asio4All.
It does not matter which ASIO driver is selected, the crackings are audible when I use the VIRUS in sidechain.
Even when I use the VIRUS as soundcard the crackings persist.

Alles anzeigenI presume that this thread was given the title "OS 5 Feature Requests" by The_Outsider because in the thread's first post he made several unrelated requests. Some of the replies, especially early on in the thread, commented on The_Outsider's original requests. That is of course entirely appropriate. But other replies have introduced new requests that are unrelated to ones that had previuosly been discussed in the thread.
May I suggest that, despite the all-embracing-seeming title of this thread, a new thread be started within the Feature Requests sub-forum for each new request (unless, perhaps, you have a long list of them, as The_Outdiser did)? After all, that is the purpose of the Feature Requests sub-forum. I suggest that whether or not you think your request is likely to be implemented in TIOS 4.x or 5 should have no bearing on this, again despite the reference the reference to OS 5 in this thread's title,
Starting a new thread within Feature Requests for each new request is the approach I have taken myself. It has several advantages. It more easily draws the attention of forum browsers (including, most importantly, Access Music staffers!) to new feature requests. It encourages any subsequent discussion in the new thread to remain focused on the new request. In particular, it makes it easy for other musicians to "vote" for the new request, to hopefully help get it some priority, by posting a simple reply saying something like "I too would like to see this new feature" or "I vote for this" or even, as I have seen several times, just "+1".

Buttons to reverse the phases of the oscillators would be killer !!!
Sub Osc are invisible in the Osc page:

With more than 7000 sounds available...
A notepad in the COMMON section for writing patches comment would be great.
Hello, I download & install OS 4.1.0.16 today.
I notice the following bugs:
After playing, tweaking the VC for 15 minutes "Right clic" is no longer accessible. (No add to automation, sort alphanumeric, delete selected patches,...)
The same for the window of Ram, Rom & User patches...
I must close Ableton Live 8.2.1 and open it again so that these bugs disappear.
Unfortunately 15 minutes after they appear again.

Thanks Marc, I will get in touch with support tomorrow...
I hold to reassure you, it is the first time that I see something like that.
By chance the Virus Ti desktop did not suffer damage. I tested it with a universal power supply and it seems to function correctly…
Regards,
David.

I think it would also be nice to see frequency values on the filter readout as opposed to 0 - 127.[/quote]

I hope that this thread will grow up and that everybody interested by this feature will add its contribution.
Nobody interested by these feature
If you want a noise source for the mod matrix just use S&H with max frequency, or S&G for a slightly different flavour (in fact, any of the wave forms will give you a different feel, but i find S&G the most pleasing).
I understand your explanation but Noise reacts more quickly than a S&H lfo. It would be necessary to have 2 times faster lfo to obtain something equivalent.
Dave Smith synth have this very particular function and which adds a very special grain to the sound.
As I mentioned before, it is feature that are missing and obliges me to use other less powerful Synth to complement TI.
Feature requests or Feature demands
By now it is feature request but if lots of people want them it will become feature demands.
I propose that all the people interested by this list of feature votes so that they are taken into account by Access.

David

I'm working with Live 8.1.1 and OS 4. Same problem.
