OS 5 is a big improvement for me. Using Win 7 x64 here. I've also switched to to the Ableton Live x64 beta build. The syncing is way better and it seems way more stable to me

This will probably take you several hours if not days, but you may find an error with a stick of RAM.
I can't see why it should be an issues with RAM. I did not experience a single bluescreens or crash issue when not using the virus.
Also the "IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL" bluescreen popped up for the first time when I updated to the latest TI OS. -
Still getting this bluescreen. What a bummer.

Anyone else had anything like this? Perhaps even on Ableton? Heard about very similar case on Ableton aswell..
Yes, exact same bluescreen. I can't say much about the ram usage, some projects never crash.
I get the bluescreens when I click the ON/OFF button in ableton. (which opens/closes the ASIO device)
virust ti snow, core i7, win7 x64, ableton live 8.2.8
EDIT: The last project that crashes used at least 1.4GB ram -
I'm having the exact same problem as anmartin1105, using an additional USB-PCIe-host card. Getting the exact same bluescreen (IRQ not less or equal)
CPU is core-i7 sandy bridge, OS is Win7 x64. Using the the 4.5.3.x drivers
And I never got the TI-Snow drivers working on my onboard USBs (Asus P8P67-M) -
Hi!
with the latest Virus OS I still have the problem of low volume output after playing tracks with automated parameters for some time.
Suddenly the volume drops and is missing about 12db
As soon as I reboot the Virus (Snow) the volume goes back to normal.I already had this problem with previous OS versions
EDIT: found a way to fix it without rebooting: On the common page move the surround balance fader to the right and back to left

Hi there,
I got myself an Virus TI2 Desktop and found myself with some BSOD-errors ("PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" STOP: 0×00000050) when loading up a project file in Ableton Live 8 with an instance of Virus TI. It actually works adding a Virus TI instance into a project without one, yet it's pretty unstable. I loaded up the crash dump file in WinDbg and got the following response:
I've tried to remove all other USB-equipment (MIDI-controller and D-Link Wireless Network Adaptor) and test it again, but without any success. I've also tried to reinstall the Virus TI Suite (newest stable version; Virus TI Installer 4.1.1.05 for Windows 64-bit).
Computer specs
- Motherboard: Asus P5Q-E
- PSU: Corsair CMPSU-520HX 520W
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00 GHz
- RAM: OCZ Reaper HPC DDR2 PC6400/800 MHz CL4 (2x2 GB)
Seems like a USB-driver problem? Anyone with similar problems? Any ideas of what to solve the problem?
I've contacted Access support but haven't got any reply yet.I'm getting the exact same thing on my TI Snow
Ableton 8
CPU: Intel i7 2600K
Board: Asus P8P67-M
Win7 x64 + TI 4.1.1.05 -
I fixed it by uninstalling all recently installed programs and running ComboFix

I get the following error when trying to load the TI VST for my snow
---------------------------
Fatal Error!
---------------------------
Unable to load the Virus Control Base Module! Please try to reinstall the Virus TI Software Package
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------I tried reinstalling the software, didnt help
I tried reinstalling the device on other USB port, didnt help
I tried reflashing the device, didnt help either
This happens on Windows7 x64 when trying to load the 32Bit plugin
It started today, cant figure out what caused thisThe system is up to date and worked pretty well with the Snow until today
I tried loading the plugin in Ableton and the VST3PluginTestHost from the Steinberg SDK
-
I thought this one was fixed way back in some update
At least I read it in some patch notes.
What tool did you use to display the tuning? I want to have a try on reproducing this issue

I"ve spent almost the entire time I've had my mid 2010 MBP dealing with Access support. The onboard USB chipset is a PITA. My old Macbook caused me less headache.
VC worked OK when I first got it, then after I reinstalled OS X it went to crap. Now I have to load VC in Ableton, wait for the communication error, then unplug the USB cable, wait for VC to pickup that there's no Virus attached and then plug in the USB cable again. Then VC works.
Something weird going on there.
Anyone else out there experience anything like this?
Same for me, when I load a project i have to unplug the USB cable and plug it in again to make the VC recognize my TI Snow
When I load another project afterwards Ableton crashes.

this is the update i've been waiting for. well done access! very good job!!!

sry guys
my fault
the arp is working fine after enabling "All Arpeggiators" in the Config Menu.
Would be very nice to have all this advanced config options on the plugin-side too. -
On my TI Snow (OS 4.0.5.01+ Live 8.2 + Win7 x64) the Arp is not working anymore.
I really dont know how to fix it. I don't want to rollback to any previous OS because that got me even more in to trouble when I did that before.
Back then the Virus was just not recognized by the Ti-VST. Even when i got really sure its the right dll-Version that was loaded.I cannot use the built in arp for half a year now.

i really wish i could go back to os 3 that was almost stable for me
-
happens for me right after reboot of virus.
seems like it happens more often when the cpu has high load -
my snow does the same great noise:

Hi!
My Snow TI feels much smoother in windows xp.
The knobs are responding more accurate in winxp.
Seems like animating the VST-GUI takes much more CPU in Win7.Are there any tweaks for a fresh installed windows 7 to speed things up?
I can't play old projects because of the higher cpu load.I'm using Live 8 and Cubase 5
OS: Windows 7 32-Bit
CPU: Q6600 Geforce 8800GTThanks
