i've removed your post. i usually don't do that but in this case I simply don't want others to repeat what you did because it is not necessary.
i'm sure what you did was working for you but I don't want others to de-install everything without need. you're right about third party input devices, those can be a problem. but again, those component do not need to be removed but simply unplugged.
