Ah, it installed the 64bit version automatically! Not very useful to me though has my DAW is 32bit! I guess I'll look around for another plugin. Thanks for the pointers you guys!

Did you manage to get Freakoscope installed?
It says installed in my add / remove programs window, but I'm blowed if I can find it! It hasn't installed itself in the plugins folder of my DAW. I've looked in C:\Program Files\ but nothing to be found there.
A little help please.

What does a system reset do exactly? I ask because my Osc Balance defaults to -64. This is quite annoying as when I'm going through the manual basic learning instructions I was getting no response from Osc 2. Then I figured that it was due to the Osc Balance default parameter of -64 (only allows Osc1 to sound).
Is Osc Balance a general parameter applicable to all patches?

Bare I mind, when you plugin the USB, the virus physical midi ports change operation,
Basically they turn the virus into a midi hub, so you can direct midi to other devices through it .
You cannot use them to communicate to synth engine, this you have to do via USB.
Ok, thanks for that! -

I have various external synth modules that I currently use with 5 pin DIN MIDI via a MAudio Sport. If wanted to use the Virus TI with USB MIDI would it "cause me issues" (polite phrase) with the rest of my gear using 5 pin DIN MIDI?
-
Oh I'd left the program change filter on on the TI. Doh!

I have tried sending a bank change message and a program change message and nothing happen.
This is the format I used, it works for other synths, but not for TI:
Bank 0 0 RAM Bank A
0 000: BigBass BS -
In other words, MSB = 0, LSB = 0-25 which corresponds to each of the banks. (Bank A-Z).
It's Zero based so 0 = bank A, 1 = bank B etc.
Ok thanks for that. I only have a basic understanding of midi. So the TI would only be listening for the LSB which could be 0 through 25, even though TI only has 21 banks.

Hi
Where is the MSB & LSB for the various banks to be found? I want to access Virus remotely without using Virus Control.

Thanks for your input.
Clearly you must have miss read me. I do have a TI and have used virus control before. My OS is currently 2.0.3 Apr 2007. Are there any negatives to upgrading to the latest OS?

I've just come back to my virus TI rack after a long absence.
Q. My rack OS is probably on 2.xxxx is it recommended to install the latest OS e.g. 4xxxx? Will it affect the patches already installed on the rack?
Q. Where is the download for the latest version of Virus Control I don't see any in the download area? What is the minimum machine spec to run a version of Virus control?

You can find this in the Virus TI manual.
It's on page 136...storing a patch.
Manual can be downloaded on the Acces site.
Thanks for the info!

Am I correct in thinking, that the only way to for example copy a patch from say No 23 Ram A to No 45 Ram B is via the software package called Sound Control?
I would like to do the above example just by pressing buttons on the Ti.
