"Any gain for non-snow Virus'?"
Same question here... -
I have the Virus TI with OS5 working flawlessly here.
Windows 7 64 and i'm using the Asus P8 z77 V LX.I'm using a dedicated PCIe USB card for the Virus.
Before get the USB card I believe that there's something you can try on your PC configuration.1 Disabled desktop aero theme and set it to basic
2 Entered bios > CPU settings > Advanced > Disable EIST
3 Disable Turbo Boost
4 Disable "C1E", "C3" and "C6" I also disabled "SPEEDSTEPThis Bios fixes has been proved to solve some crackling problems with some soundcards and Sandy Bridge processors.
You can try this and see if something gets improved even if your processor is Ivy as I assume.Cheers

Windows XP, Vista or MacOS 10.5 not important at all.

Real time export should work (mark the option on export menu).

Well,in my DAW the Virus analog outs are noticeably noisy, that's why i´ll stick with the USB.
Personally i prefer a clean sound and then if needed add whatever is required.
IMO all that "analog this and analog that" is overvalued and is not important for me.
"when u play with the filter for example, analogs doesn't sound as usb"
Nevertheless your statement makes curious so despite we are talking about a VA i´ll check it to see if i can find a valuable difference for me.
Kind Regards

"read the setup guide, they're talking about @ page 4"
Great i will do that.
Thanks for the info.
"in my case the best (VC) setup is to use the ti with the analog outputs, so i use VC as an editor..... "
I tried that but i found a better audio quality (less noise) on the USB-Real Time Export on my DAW.

Well since i have changed to Win 7 64 environment i began to have some issues with my TI.
In general works fine but sometimes i get this out of sync problem.
I have a lot of USB units attached to my MOBO USB ports (Novation SL,MOTU MTP AV x2,Midisport 8x8,4x4,UC-33e,Korg R3,MicroX,Tempest,Kore Controller and Syncrosoft & Ilok2 keys).
I have a dedicated USB PCI card for the TI,and since i recall some reading about a HUB is now recommended (like stated before too) i wonder if in my case that could help?Win Ultimate 7 64

It's sounds to me like a layered vocoder and formant filter pad.

Hi
My Virus TI lost communication since i installed the Cubase 6.5 update.
Before never had a problem with it.
I need to remove the USB cable from the Virus and re attach it in order to the editor recognize it again.
I'm on Win 7 Ultimate 64,Cubase 6.5- 64 and i have a PCI USB card just for the Virus TI.Any suggestions? or anybody else having the same issue?
Thanks in advance
