Aftertouch, Pitch wheel, Mod wheel issues

    Just got a used Virus TI Keyboard. The keybed feels good, if kind of clacky. However the aftertouch is wayyyy too sensitive. It should be called beforetouch. You basically cannot play hard without triggering it. Is that normal for this synth? I tried adjusting it in the settings but all that did was dampen the maximum value.


    Also my mod wheel and pitch wheel aren't doing anything. I hope that this is not a hardware issue...

    Hard to say without hearing/seeing what you mean, honestly. My personal guess is that someone opened the unit to "fix" something and either wasn't able to accomplish what they set out to do or made it worse. The wheels not working is likely a cable not being plugged in (properly) since there's a dedicated cable running to the wheel assembly.


    Does the warranty label indicate that the TI has been opened up?
