Should the Virus TI2 keyboard still be able to function as a midi controller on Ventura? I'm trying to use it on a MacBook Pro but it doesn't even show up in Audio Midi Setup and it does not trigger any sound in Logic Pro. I have it connected via USB to USB-c adapter. Is there a driver to install or something? I thought usb/midi was just plug and play.

I'm using a iMac circa 2010 with 4 usb ports, Mac OSX Sierra 10.12.6, Logic 10.4.0 and latest version of Virus TI2 software.
Issues I have are as follows:
- no sound or distorted sound upon initializing the Virus TI plugin. Requires restart of Virus and/or of computer.
- random bursts of noise. Requires restart of Virus.
- arpeggiator goes out of sync
The plugin is basically unusable or only works a limited amount of time before ruining workflow. I want to know what I need to do in order to get my Virus TI to work properly or, at least, more reliably or is it just hopeless? Do I need a usb hub? And if so, which one will work best for my current setup? Thanks! -
I'm using my Virus TI on two separate computers so I thought I could just copy the My Patches.mid file over to the new
computer and browse but it comes up as blank. Do I have to just start over and add all my patches back?Just noticed there is no "personal libraries" in the menu of the plugin on my new computer. Maybe that has
something to do with it? -
Thanks but should you also set the bus to "no output?"

Hi,
Can the USB signal be split into two channels panned left and right in Logic? Or is this only possible with the audio outs?
Thanks! -
On Mac and Logic I every time I open a certain project the first sound is distorted. I have to double click on the patch
in order for it to sound normal. Will try with other projects. -
One other annoying thing that happens is when I open a project that's saved using the TI plugin but I don't have my
Virus powered on I have to restart the computer in order for the Virus to be recognized again. I don't understand why
I can't just turn the Virus on and it be recognized. Why is a computer restart necessary? -
If you run the isightdisabler script will the isight be disabled until you re-enable it or will you have to run
the script upon restart? -
How do I check the usb imac profiler? There are 4 usb ports on the Imac. Is it not known which
ones share usb bandwidth? For what I paid for the synth I think Access should provide the solution
whether it be a usb hub or other fix. -
I have a 2010 imac i7 Snow Leopard 10.6.8 running latest version of Logic. It's getting extremely frustrating
having to restart my computer every time the Virus TI isn't recognized (which is about 50% of the time!)
It's plugged into the usb port closest to the edge of the imac. Also using an Apogee Duet 2 plugged into the
third usb and another midi controller plugged into the 4th. What do I have to do? -

Are you using the template from the "Virus TI tutorial song" in Logic or did you make your own? I made my own multi timbral virus ti
template and was wondering if that is what might be causing problems. Just switched to the tutorial template but haven't used it
enough to see if I get the issues. -
Anyone try to use the "Virus TI tutorial song" as a template and still have these problems? I created my own
multi and saved it as a template and was wondering if that is what's causing the issue. -
dude, we had an iMac on NAMM and it worked great. we have an iMac in the office (which is older through) and guess what: no problems. i've just tested against the reports in this thread on a brand new mac book pro and wasn't able to reproduce the issues. so please don't assume that we just have to try it out ourselves
marcI have to assume because that is my setup and many other people still have these problems. Test on more than one imac maybe? See this thread:
http://virus.info/forum/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=2676Still no resolution!

Most people still run Logic in 32 bit mode because the 64 bit plugin bridge sucks. I thought that the TI still
has to use the bridge because it's not a native 64 bit plugin on Mac. -
Any official word on this from Access yet?
-
Which usb input? The one closest to the edge or the one closest to the center of the computer?
If Access could just start testing on these imacs then surely they could reproduce the problem.
Play for about an hour and you will get hanging notes, out of sync arps, Virus not recognized, etc.
Or don't play it at all and random notes will just start ringing out!My imac is a 2010 i7 running Snow Leopard and Logic 9.1.5. I've been plagued with these problems
ever since getting my Virus last summer and no updates seem to help at all. There are already multiple
threads about this. It's definitely an issue and I find that I get more problems when using the TI as a
multi instrument in Logic rather than just a single channel plugin. -
Yes, good ideas! A "best of analog" soundset would be awesome. Surprised there's not one already.

Any recommendations on which hub to get? I don't really need a 7-port hub. I would only need
a hub for the Virus therefore the other ports would go to waste. -
Maybe Access can create a hub that works and give it to all Virus owners for free. I too have all these problems in Logic with an imac I7.
