Good point heckmat. I had an issue with the Virus where it would not stop holding the notes after the sustain pedal was released. i re-installed the firmware and then all was fine.

That is pretty cool. Is there a Mac version floating around the web?

This is a problem with Live, not your Virus. If you want to play a part, ARM THE MIDI CHANNEL, NOT THE AUDIO CHANNEL THAT YOU DROPPED VIRUS CONTROL INTO. If you arm the Virus Control, you will only hear channel 1: in this case the Kick part.
I hope this helps.

It sounds to me like you might have your audio latency set too low for you system to handle without breaking up. Try increasing your buffer time. What audio interface are you using?

Produce Progressive Trance on a Virus TI!?!?!
You bought the PERFECT synth for Prog Trance buddy!

What firmware version and what VC OS are you using? I listened to your samples. Is it on all patches? Is it only when you turn on Logic? I actually have an issue where Ableton Live was doing that, but I would keep my Virus on and just quit Live and then restart Live and then everything works great!

They kinda sound like an 808 kick with distortion and a 909 kick with huge amounts of saturation and compression to me. I'll try to make one and see how it sounds.

Amen JDMMADE.

Oh Yeah! Global effects would rock!

After reading this thread I came up with a work around. You could just setup your sound to output from the 3rd stereo outs and then input in into the inputs. Then setup the input sound with the reverb and the output sound with the distortion. The input channel would be an effect channel, but this will work.

Has anyone figured out how to set the multiple USB outs of VC in Live? I know how to use the USB input in Live, but how do you setup or route the multiple outputs?

Amen.
It's about the sound YOUR going for.But I do disagree, you can get some "pretty close to the TB-303" sounds out of the Virus. At least close enough that when it sits in your mix the listener will say: "Awesome"

On the 909 side there are LOTS of sounds that you could sample or just create a Multi-Mode for a drumkit.

Is there no workaround that works? It is a shame that you won't be using your TI!
What mode are your knobs in? Rel, Jump or Snap?
-
Yeah, but in VC you would simply morph between the 2 tracks in your DAW.

I have noticed that too. I thought that it was my Akai APC 40 just throwing the CC's back to 127, but the hardware face says 127 but is actually at 0. I figure it is a beta issue and I'm using my controller to automate the Softknobs, maybe that will work for you until this problem gets fixed!

To erbalist: You set the MIDI Channels in the Multi-Edit while you are in Mutli Mode.
To TimeKode: Your right, that is more like fading then morphing. So...use more of you Modulation Matrix Slots. I mean really fill them us with opposite parameters. This would create more of a morphing sound, I bet!
