Hi,
Email [email protected] and they will update your username.
Great to see they've updated the site. I hope it means the Virus is not dead.
The video tutorials are also back on the site. The previous Flash videos couldn't be played on modern computers.
Thank you for your answers. I tried flash player alternatives. But it did not work for me.
I am going to check vimeo. Maybe I have luck finding some tutorial videos indecent quality there.
Did you find a solution? If not let me know. I may be able to do something to help you.
Their website needs a major overhaul as it is functional, but obviously could use some TLC and refactoring/updating, which I'm sure they are aware of but just do not have the resources to dedicate to the task.
Not only their website, but their outdated plugin and software too! Given the lack of communication from Access, their whole company probably needs a major overhaul.
Hey all! I have an update! I'm currently running Mac OS Big Sur , with a windows 10 partition. And I just got my TI Snow through USB working on the windows side! No magic, or tricks. Just partitioned the drive, installed windows 10, installed FL Studio 20, and installed the 64-bit version of the virus software suite.
Sound works just fine, only set back is the plugin is REALLY small. I haven't been able to figure out how to resize it, but for now it'll do.
Thanks for sharing your experience, but this is nothing new. The plugin is still compatible with Windows 10, either on a Mac or on a PC. What we need is compatibility with macOS and M1 Mac computers. I need to use the plugin from Logic Pro on macOS.
And another Kemper update…….https://www.facebook.com/kemperamps/posts/5170714116278203?__cft__[0]=AZV2bdcfQY94gi88QpDKmAaeHg-LCXr37XLg4NnSpfOoZjVyz12SFuTArkF9yOHDmVwAODfrUay3p71A0fdzCtjmtfuJpgSquzfiAyO6oCooHira2ce6d_lFt_gmogFyqB9a66gNo8buMtJXadsFTUGWAA1n1lBptr4ajT5O1HGMCA&__tn__=%2CO%2CP-R
Funny that half the comments on the Kemper update are about the Virus.
Why would they put all their development time on Kemper and ignore their Virus userbase? I just don’t get it. It’s been 2 years…
This is my go-to Virus editor for over a year now. Works perfectly.
Oh really! So what's the difference between this plugin and the original Virus TI plugin? No USB audio?
Heads up, I've gotten a report via the Facebook group I admin that the latest Windows updates break the drivers on PC making the Virus unfindable.

That's interesting. Are there any other reports on that incompatibility issue with Windows?
They are, but they choose to ignore a significant portion of their user base.
Why would they do that? I just don't get it. If they don't plan to update it, they should just tell us so we can move on.
You're absolutely right. I understand that updating the plugin can be a complex task for them, but the lack of transparency is a very bad move from their part.
I was recently thinking of buy a Kemper amp but decided not to get one because of their bad attitude towards their customers. Who knows how long these products will be supported?
Hopefully another developper will eventually be able to build something that works.
That's a very sad situation for customers.
I wonder if Access employees are actually reading the forums. They are literally ignoring us, remaining silent about this whole issue, while still selling the synth like there is no problem.
That's for a hardware development engineer. Previously it was for 'Software Developer Audio/DSP'
It's a software job. Here is Google's translation:
"We are looking for someone to strengthen our development team
Software developer
Your tasks include the further development and maintenance of our platform-independent software framework and the embedded and desktop applications for our products.
Your profile:
• You are fluent in C / C ++
• You have experience with larger software projects
• You have a good knowledge of at least one of the following platforms: Windows, Mac OS X, iOS
• You are a team player and ideally have a musical background
We offer an exciting job in the music industry, a friendly and creative working environment, as well as the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and actively shape the entire product development process.
If you want to become part of our team, send us your brief application using our contact form."
Looks like Kemper finally hired a new DSP/C+ developer. Hopefully this means an update will happen soon.
Where do you see this? The job position is still listed here:
They never said they wouldn't update it. They said:
"We're sorry to say but we do not have any news in regards to macOS Catalina or macOS Big Sur compatibility at this point. We will post news once we have any."
Hi! Yes the Access Virus TI plugin works very well for me in Mojave. Sadly, it's the the latest version of macOS compatible with the Virus TI. For some reason, Access never updated the plugin. When asked for info, they reply with the same copy/paste reply each time:
"Thank you for your email. We do not have any updates in regards to macOS Catalina support or macOS Big Sur at this point.
We will post news once available.
With best regards,
Access Music Support"
Alles anzeigenI don't disagree that Apple has moved the goal posts and broken backward compatibility. Indeed they have taken a very different approach to Microsoft - who ship endless backward compatibility layers. I strongly disagree that the changes are about Apple controlling what you can or can't do on your computer. It's just about trying to enhance security. Personally (as painful as it is) - I think the Apple approach is better from a security perspective.
Replacing kernel level extensions with user-mode equivalents - is surely a positive thing - providing the user-mode replacements offer equivalent real-time performance / latency. I agree with Apple here, from a security perspective.
As for the M1 - it's trivial to re-compile your application via Xcode for compatibility with both X86 and M1.
As a software engineer myself - I am a firm believer in constantly/ incrementally updating the libraries/frameworks that your application relies upon - and not just leaving your application to rot. We've long adopted this approach for our own software - and it's served us well.
Absolutely. I 100% agree with you. Apple is making changes for the best and developers need to follow and update their software. We're in 2021, it's not 2005 anymore.
Possibly - who knows. Maybe they are giving up because class compliant is the future for Mac/USB.
If they are giving up, they should just be transparent and tell us.
