Hey Everyone!
I've recently got back my Virus KC after a long vacation from it. I downloaded the latest OS, but I'm having serious trouble updating it.
I load the .MID file into Sonar, set the track to output to the Midi Out that the virus is connected to, and set the Channel to 1.
I turn on the virus, hold "Store" until it boots and is ready to receive the data.
I press play on Sonar and - nothing.
The Virus looks like it is receiving nothing, and Sonar is telling me that it is happily sending the Sysex data.
Has anyone got any tips? Anything I might have missed? I'm not an amateur when it comes to these things, but I have completely exhausted my troubleshooting brain.
Help?
Maybe there's a better (and I mean free) piece of software to update the virus?
