Midi and external effect processing

    Hey all


    I am picking up an used Virus C this weekend. Really looking forward to it:)


    2 short questions.


    1. I am planning to connect this with my Nord Rack 2x. It has no Midi thru on that, but t believe that Virus C has?. I am a bit wondering how to connect it with my EMU 0404 USB. Should it go from Midi Thru on Virus to Midi In on Nord Rack and then to the Audio Interface?


    2. The external audio input made me think. I am thinking of using my old Technics 1200 turntable with it. Do I need a preamp, or could it work anyway?

    EMu MIDI OUT ---> Virus MIDI IN
    Virus MIDI OUT ---> EMu MIDI IN
    Virus MIDI THRU ---> Nord MIDI IN


    Set Virus to LOCAL OFF

    The Virus C has a phono preamp built in. See p117 of the user manual.
