we have a Virus Ti2 Polar

  • To use the Virus Control software, you need a plug-in host; a software sequencer/DAW like cubase can be used, or if you just need the editing capabilities any vst-host may do the job, like the freeware VST-host "SAVIhost". You'll still need a recording software, if you want to record with the computer, that's where an all-in-one DAW like cubase/sonar/fl (and the other supported daws) come in.

  • Thank you Rob for your reply. We will have to explore our computer !! We can see the VST folder with other things in but cant seem to get the Virus software into that folder.

We will keep trying. We are not sure what Plug Ins are ?? The video tutorial on the web talks about a Virus Ti driver but this didnt appear on our software instructions when we press the 'run this software' button!

Oh dear, we will get back to you if we are successful.

  • thank you. This is very interesting because we did look in the sounds and audio devices but the driver did not appear. In the meantime we have to return the Polar because the 'keyboard' has stopped functioning - it is only working when played through midi. So that it the story so far. ?(

  • Maybe the device got switched out of local mode? Or the cable connecting the mainboard and the keyboard got loose with the shipping. I'd advice getting a good read of the whole manual and setup guide that comes with the latest OS - it can definitely clear up a couple of things
