Recording multi-channel automation data in Ableton

    In my current setup it seems that its only possible to record CC data on the master MIDI channel (the one where the Virus is in), not on the seperate MIDI channels used for playing the different parts.


    Is it possibile in Ableton to record automation (control) data on the seperate channels?

    No and Yes.


    Yes: When you work your CC values on your track lanes, you have to remember the CC for each control.


    No: If you want the Name of each CC to be shown instead of just a CC number, use the Master track alone. Don't forget to use the newer expanded track lane add to drop in down at keep your workflow neat.
