One of my keys has started making a near-unbearable high-pitched squeak. Any suggestions? If I keep using it will whatever is squeaking just wear away on its own?
Is the key stiff? It would go away on it's own eventually (how long it may take is another issue) either by wearing away the material that is rubbing or by redistributing the lubricant. Perhaps jiggling the key around back and forth may help...
I might recommend lubricating it, but if it's still under warranty I wouldn't go dismantling it unless you know exactly what you are doing. Perhaps support can come up with a practical solution?
