SOLVED: how do i completely remove the virus software (v4.5 public beta) and revert to a stable version

SOLUTION: apparently you have to click on an external disk for installation and then back on the main OS disk and will give you the option to install an older version over the newer version woot! SUPREMELY UNINTUITIVE!

i recently upgraded to the 4.5 beta and my mac keeps crashing on audio system problems.

i went into the virus app folder and ran the uninstall, but every time i try to install an old, stable version, it keeps saying you have a newer version on the disk.

i've even restarted the computer and shutdown every possible other process.

any ideas?
