Just new to the virus b and I can backup from access to sonar with sysx no problem but, cant upload mid file with patchs to access - says "receiving update waiting for data. I imported the midi file into sonar midi track and pressed play but, virus not getting it. I held the store button when powering on then relesed and hit store again. I selected the os45_second1024.mid. Any one can help?
What is you MIDI Rx mode? Did you try to play the sysEx file slower?
On the access virus b the MIDI Rx mode is: MIDI Dump RX = Enabled. Is there a MIDI Rx mode to check in sonar? The file type is .mid not .syx.
Unfortunately, I'm not a Virus B expert, so I can only refer you to the manual, but IIRC they explain how you should prepare your Virus for an OS upgrade. The OS .mid files contain sysEx messages timed to the MIDI beats and bars, so it sometimes helps to slow the sequencer tempo down before playing them.
