Cubase 5/Win 7/64bit - 128 samples audio buffer unplayable

  • Hi All

I have a new pc (Scan 3XS SA-X6 PowerDAW) and have been experiencing a few issues with audio (pops / clicks). Finally attached the virusti to its own USB 2.0 onboard (chipset) HUB and this has reduced the issues. However as per the virusti install guide I selected 128 samples as the audio buffer but this doesn't work at all - sound is extremeley intermittent and degraded. Setting back to 128 + safety buffer or 256 solves the issue. Any ideas why 128 wouldn't work?

    Thanks

    Sean

  • Now we got 3 topics about the same problem. Read other topics and you'll figure out that you are not alone. It seems there is a huge problem with Intel Sandy Bridge system - driver works not properly and there is no matter what buffer size You will set.

interesting. the poster above states that it just doesn't work with 128 and no safety buffer. rsformatc, please contact support, they'll help you to troubleshoot your system.
