Hi,
I've been recording automation with VirusControl in Ableton. When I record the traditional way, using a MIDI controller mapped to the VirusControl VST parameters inside Ableton, I get a lovely high-resolution automation curve.
When I record automation while turning the knobs on the Virus itself, I get far fewer updates. The curve is less smooth, and when played back it does not sound the same as when it was recorded.
You can see the issue in this picture. The left-hand side is automation recorded from the Virus, the right-hand side is automation recorded using a MIDI controller.

How do I fix this?
