I sent a ticket for support about this big problem and hope to get some help soon...
My set up :
Mac Mini late 2012 - Moutain Lion 10.8.3 - 4gb ram - 1T 5400 rpm hd
TROUBLE WITH : virus ti2 keyboard sample rate blocked at 44.1 khz when used as sound card.
ALSO TROUBLE WITH : 3rd party VST Audio playback.

i can change to 48k just fine in AMS (10.8.3) using a mac book pro.

You're so lucky... Because on my mini mac I cannot change the sample rate to 48k in the AMS.
I hope that i'm not alone and that someone will help.

I have a mac book pro too and it works fine too.
It doesn't work on my mac mini which i purchased 3 days ago. Maybe because of the USB 3 ?
