First post here! Thanks in advance for any help with this amazing synth!
I've just taken my Virus to my main studio (usually have it at home studio) however I can't install the 5.0.8.00 software on our studio Mac as we are running 10.6.4 (can't upgrade OSX version for various reasons so this isn't an option btw).
Is there a way that I can clock the Virus to the main computer via midi, and use my laptop via USB (It's the laptop I use at home with the virus and so has the Ti software installed) for saving and editing patches?
From ableton I should be able to send a sync signal as I do with drum machines etc over Midi so that the Arp, for example, will play in time with Ableton's tempo.
Am I opening a barrel of worms here? In theory should be possible but would really appreciate anyone who does something similar offering any thoughts or advice!
