how to 'test' my new/old Polar TI2 to make sure everything works right ?

    Greetings -


    I just got a used Polar TI2 and as far as I can tell it works fine


    However, are there 'tests' via its buttons that I can run to see if anything isn't working right?


    Also, independent of any button tests, what sorts of things should I be looking for here? Classic problem areas, etc, that I can verify are 'ok' or 'something's wrong.'

    Well depending on firmware version there are several bugs you might run into, including a stuck oscillator bug and one where you can connect to the computer reliably only at 44.1khz. You can also try out the demo song (buttons under Matrix) but that actually used to cause stuck oscillators for me as well. Actually scratch that, it STILL causes stuck oscillators for me.
