How do I access third party patch banks from the hardware? When I browse I get either category or 3 banks of favourites. I used to use the Ti software to access them but I'm not using it now due to problems with it.

You can only access non-loaded patches using the Browser function in the TI Virus Control plugin.
EG

copy the banks in question to the RAM banks of your Virus.

Alternatively you can save individual patches out of the TC as midi and stream those out of your sequencer to load them dynamically.
And in theory you can also use the CTRLR panel (ctrlr.org) and it "should" work for patches.
