SPDIF connectivity

    I want to connect my virus ti2 to my Apollo Twin through the SPDIF output/inputs and I was wondering how I would utilize the virus control VST as well. As of right now I’m running it through USB, and that lets me use the VST plugin with no problems. does that stay the same once I run it through SPDIF? Or would I use the MIDI inputs/outputs rather than USB? This is all pretty new to me and I would appreciate some advice from you guys!

    Also, on the other hand, and I just wasting my time and should stick to USB? I’ve heard a lot of problems such as popping and clicking issues happen when using spdif connections.


    If I worded this weird let me know and I’ll try to explain my situation a bit better

    For anyone looking for a solution, I found out that my TI2 Polar doesn't have any SPDIF clicking problems when used with a Roland MX-1 mixer's Digital IN/OUT port.


    I then route the MX-1 to my Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 (2nd gen) interface and the sound is clear with no noise!


    I am using 44.1Hz as the frequency.
