Anyone have greater success with the latest Aura plug-in update? I personally had a lot of issues with midi timing and latency while using their plug-in and that appears to be a highlight of this latest release. I haven't had a chance to test myself, since I went back using the Virus TI as a 'normal' synth.

Heard some interesting news from the DSP Emulator group. Ploytec has made a U-turn and is developing a USB audio driver for the latest version of MacOS which I'm going to assume will cover Apple Silicon(M1/M2) compatibility.
Maybe this means an update TI plugin will finally be done.
care to share the source link?

Is it a known issue that the Mystery Islands / AURA plug-in solution introduces A LOT of latency? I sort of got it to working on a test computer (2021 MacBook Pro M1 Pro), but the latency is awful, rendering it useless. Still rocking Mojave on the music desktop...

Did somehow the new build 9013 breake the USB 3 Audio output ?
i have no signals going out to usb3 audio after updating to build 9013, so I reinstalled the build 9011 and now I have all 3 USB outputs again, including USB 3 audio !
Same.

There's sadly a problem here with the Steinberg products (e.g. Cubase). Steinberg don't support aggregate devices, and aggregate devices don't currently work. They're refusing to update their asio converter.
I'm able to use aggregated devices in Cubase 12. Not sure about previous versions.

Amazing work guys! I just gave it try and it all appears to be working pretty well, other than some timing instabilities. This is a secondary MacBook Pro M1 Pro on Monterey, with no audio interface, so it may just be this system. I still mostly use a Mojave Mac mini that is rock solid with the official plugin, and hope to move on from that someday.
Can you please explain why the USB outputs are not in the right order? Like... USB 1/2 is really USB 3/4, etc... Once everything is labelled and setup right, it's not a big deal. Just curious.

Thanks. It means, when you request say bank A from Virus TI to editor, it takes forever. You can easily have a coffee, cigg (if you do) and have a dump in the loo while waiting for request to complete.
I'm happy to answer all your questions on our website. I don't have much time to monitor this forum sadly.
Thanks so much for your response. I wasn't expecting an answer from you here on this forum. I went ahead and purchased it yesterday, and will most likely have some more questions.

This is really exciting to hear, and I'm happy to pay the $50 to make it happen.
Can someone please explain what this means... "Caveat is that USB connection with synth communication is VERY slow, especially when data is being requested from the Virus TI to the Editor." Does he mean like when you load up a project?

I am running the TI plugin on Mojave on a 2018 mac mini with T2 chip no problem.
Same. Cubase 10.

No problem. Please keep us in the loop.

Okay. Here is your GIF. Hope Access fixes this!

Okay. Just loaded it up real quick.
I can confirm that the VST2 plugin performs the same way as your GIF. Filter 1's automation information is overwritten by new parameter automation.

VST3.
I’ll be able do more testing in the near future once I receive my new Mac Mini. Reading some threads got me nervous so I just did a quick install on my office computer to ease my mind.

Hi Andrew, could you please verify whether you can write a Filter 1 Cutoff automation and then some others (e.g. Filter 1 Resonance) without overwriting the previously recorded Filter 1 Cutoff data?
Yes. That’s correct.

I tested Cubase 9.5 Pro a couple days ago with Mojave and my Virus TI2. It seemed to work decently well, until it crashed Cubase. Heh.. Automation seemed to function as it should.

Can anyone comment on which DAW and setup they are using with success, please? I just ordered a new Mac Mini and keeping my fingers crossed that all TI functions operate well.
I ran a test on an older MacBook Pro with Mojave and it wouldn’t even find my Virus. I typically run a PC for my audio work and this will be my first Mac in the studio. I’m a little nervous!
EDIT: Got it working... the driver was being blocked and needed to be released in the security settings.

Thanks to both of you for the response. Even though the desktop has an external power supply, there also needs to be a piece inside to provide the contact. Possibly that part is the issue?
John Burns, I'd love to see some pictures. Which TI do you own?
Also, no word from Access / Kemper yet... :sigh:

Could someone please share what kind of internal power supply you used? My Virus TI 2 Desktop sits dead and won't power up no matter what I do. I've contacted Access and Kemper US this week and haven't heard back. I also own a TI Snow and swapped external power supplies so I know it's something internal. This has happened before, but I was always able to resurrect it after multiple attempts of forced update mode or a reset. It won't take this time and it's very frustrating...
