Virus (latest Beta) is working fine in Ableton 8.3.4 under ML 10.8.2 on the new Mac Mini, connected directly to the USB Port next to the Thunderbolt port. Also connected directly to the Mini is a USB3.0 HDD and a USB2.0 Hub with more devices. All other ports are used, too. The only one left free is the USB port between the Virus and the 2.0 Hub.

Thanks, I will try to find a port that is not shared with too many other devices

Subject says it all.
Is anyone here who is using a new 2012' Mac Mini with it's USB 3.0 ports and if so, did you experience any problems, did you have to use a USB 2.0 hub?
-
Thanks, that was easy
For the mod matrix: 6 mod sources max., with 3 max. mod targets each then, right?
18 different sources would be nice anyway (more modular style *g*)

Hey,
for some time now I was wondering how I actually can save a new patch on my Virus TI2 without using my Mac and TI plugin. If I want to store it in the RAM banks, e.g. RAM D, Patch #127, how do I actually edit the name of the patch and store it? What buttons/knobs do I have to push/turn to enter the letters and save the patch to that slot #127?
I know I hit "Store", choose the Destination RAM Bank, the Patch No., but then what? How do I edit the Name and save that?
My second problem is about the Mod Matrix on the hardware unit - How do I enter a 2nd or 3rd row into the same mod slot?
For example, I select Mod Slot 2 by pressing "Mod Select" twice, then next to the display I choose my targets and mod amount for row 1 in slot 2 (e.g. LFO 1 bipolar / -35 / Filter 1 Resonance). But then, if I want to edit row 2 and 3 of the same mod slot, it just moves the mod source (LFO 1 bipolar) from row 1 to row 2 when I hit "Destination" or "Parameters" and deletes that source from row 1.
What buttons do I have to push to keep row 1 and proceed to editing row 2 and 3 on my hardware unit?
For both parts, I have probably not pushed every button and moved every knob, just the ones that seem to be useful for this matter - but none gave me the desired outcome
Maybe someone can walk me through the necessary steps.
Thanks!

start up your TI Plugin in your DAW, go to the Browser, go to the Public Libraries and open the OS5 New Features patches.mid

I use a cheap 20 € pedal from Just Music in Germany with polarity switch, works fine!

Is there a complete list of changes/fixes somewhere? I can't really find anything other about smaller fixes, just the mention of new Env's, effects etc.
It's working fine here on Windows 7 x64 with my Virus TI Snow. Still have to use Live mode in Reaper, though. Otherwise I get 3840 samples latency
At least on Mac OS 10.6.8 there is a 16 pages change log.pdf installed in the documents folder of the Virus, next to the Addendum
Btw, found no glitches yet with Ableton 8.3, but last night I was only playing with the OS5 presets.

Hey Brett, you could actually use a dedicated headphone amp
But have you checked if the volume of the patch you are using is actually just pretty low?
-
have you updated to Live 8.3 and if yes, is the problem still there?
-
Yes I have used my Virus TI with my iPad (and iPhone)
get this
and this
or something similar which is working with the Missing Link, take your time to create your presets and move freely in your room or on stage while hopefully controlling your Virus wirelessly

well, you get it!
(actually makes my Missing Link / TouchOSC combo kind of redundant.. as long as I have my computer nearby)
-
Hey, just wanted to know if anyone has a Missing Link and is using it to control the Virus via iPad/iPhone.
If so, I would like to share tips, tricks and trouble with you
-
Can you please give us more detailed information about whats new in this release?
Thank you!

4.5 is out!

btw, Kemper Digital (the German Company that builds the Virus) is also into other musical things
http://www.novamusik.com/searc…word=10785&mid=406&lbs=20
a digital guitar amp!
Here you also get to see Mr. Kemper himself

I would have been more impressed if they put out a purple one or maybe a flourescent green or orange...the psy trancers would love that ; )
to bad we don't have a "Like" Button
(I'm not a Psy-Trancer, but a flourescent color or accents (knobs) would be an awesome mod ) -

I would like to know the answer, too..
I think I read that you can plug in a turntable directly, also I don't believe that this would work (except your turntable has a preamp build in)

i hope your new on is working!
