Under the new beta I'm unable to modulate distortion intensity with either envelope. Can someone confirm?

update:
1/ I thought maybe this had to do with USB bandwidth buggin' out, so I switched all my audio to the analog outs, and it's still occurring.
2/ It's part-specific. Right now, Part 1 won't respond to any CC1 messages, no matter what the source (wheel, pedal, automation from Live), but Part 2 is working just fine.

So I bought a Yamaha expression pedal. I'm using it set to modulation/CC1 plugged directly into my Virus TI2, in sequencer mode, running with Ableton Live on a Mac (latest software on everything).
Twice in the three or so hours of me playing with it, the Virus has gone "dead" to CC1 messages. That is: the pedal stops working, the mod wheel stops working, and the Virus stops responding to automation on that controller from Live. I can see that the Virus is still getting the messages, in that when a part is selected which has a soft knob mirroring the mod wheel, I can see the soft knob move on the Virus Control plug-in. But no audible changes can be produced by CC1. (I can still get responses to the mod wheel and pedal by changing them to another CC). So, in patches like that, I can move the mod wheel and watch the soft knob animate on the plug-in, but you can't hear any effect. If I grab the same knob and move it, it works properly.
To restore it, I need to shut down Live and reboot the Virus. Rebooting the Virus without quitting Live is insufficient.

Right, that's the only one I can find confirmation on, and I was hoping for something cheaper.

If you have an expression pedal that works with the TI, please let me know. I've purchased an M-Audio one and an hour of googling has led me to believe it is incompatible. What works?

One of my keys has started making a near-unbearable high-pitched squeak. Any suggestions? If I keep using it will whatever is squeaking just wear away on its own?

that combo looks fine here. please get in touch with access support.
best, marcIt was working properly the next time i opened Live, but there was evidence that something had gone wrong in that it lost the bank that had been stored in the bottom half of the browser. I mean the bank was still on my hard drive, but the Virus Control lost what bank had been stored in the browser and reverted to whatever the default is (RAM A?), whereas in the past it always recalled what bank had been there when I reopened my Live set (in this case it had been the 4.5 demo patches).

The latest iteration of Ableton live, and the latest iteration of Mac OS.

The Virus Control Browser isn't working for me. The top half seems to be fine, but the bottom half won't change banks, and all the bank controls actually cause the bank in the upper display to change. Can anyone confirm? I'm on a Mac..

Can someone elaborate a little further what the Anakey mods do exactly?
I tried them and it seems that they simply apply a static offset. Are those offsets meant to change randomly over time? It's a set of static offsets that vary per key, in order to simulate the irregularities of analog gear.

?? I thought the MSRP had stayed the same. I bought a Polar when they came out and I think my Darkstar was actually cheaper. Do you have numbers?
-
Right, but I think Access was happy letting everyone believe it was limited edition because they knew that would boost sales. And I think calling it "the third in the special edition series" of which the previous two happened to be limited runs is a bit of a strong implication that it is also a limited run. Which is a kind of underhanded marketing trick which I generally believe Access to be better than.
I'm not looking for any sort of remedy, but I would love it if whoever was responsible for the way this was marketed took this reaction into consideration the next time they're faced with something like this. The sound and quality and support and updates sell the product alone, you don't need to mislead people by omission.
And now I'd like to get back to thinking exclusively loving thoughts towards my Darkstar.

I have to say, I love Access, but I'm a little ticked off that Darkstar isn't limited edition. You guys did a lot of promotion of it that presented it as the third part of the known-to-be limited edition runs, and it was sold to me by one of your dealers who was clearly under the same impression as I was. I'm happy with it and love that I have one, but that information was pretty much invisible, as far as I can tell. Which seems a bit deliberate, since both prior limited edition runs sold out quickly.

I have a Darkstar and haven't noticed any issues. That doesn't mean mine isn't the same as yours, just that I didn't notice.
-
Tarekith seems to have unregistered for some reason, so you probably won't get an answer here.
-
Yes, I understood that yours was not a Darkstar, that was clear. I thought they would be numbered similarly, but I can't find any plate on mine, just a regular old serial number.
-
How do you know it's number 77? I've got a darkstar and I didn't realize they were numbered.
-
Yes, filter mode to split and cutoff link to off is exactly what you're looking for.

I wish people would be a little more understanding of the disconnect between:
"WHY AREN'T THERE ANY UPDATES?!"
and
"HOW DARE THEY NOT KEEP THE PROMISES FROM THEIR UPDATES?!"
or
"WHY ISN'T THIS RELEASED YET?!?!?!?"
and
"THIS RELEASE IS FULL OF BUGS HOW DARE THEY?!?"
This is not directed at anyone in particular, and, indeed, is common on countless other forums with other manufacturers.
