Maybe you can get a bit close by applying two bandpass filters and/or a comb filter.
thx for this, tried this before I post the question.

hello,
custom filter would be great! like used in that yt video:
I tried to made some similar sounds on the TI2 but with no success. is there an other way to do that?
greetings
Your other link points back to this thread... not sure whether you wanted to link to this ycombinator thread.
thx, there was a error i fixed the link
The sound comes from the USB port?! So the USB port „sings“? Doesn’t make any sense to me...
i know this on ethernet ports, not explicit on mac but on some mainboards.
it is called "coil whine" - see yt video below
i found this on google: Mac mini Late 2018 - new mac mini makes a constant electrical noise..
or this
"You are dealing with a capacitor that is likely going to fail soon. No amount of white noise will be able to get rid of this sound being that the frequency is so high (most people can't even hear it). Unfortunately if this is your on-board NIC you may have other problems ahead when this does fail, it could take down that entire section of your motherboard which probably includes Firewire and Serial (including USB). "
welcome
would be good +1
hi, today i decided to update from 5.1.3.00 to 5.1.7.00 on my Mac Pro (early 2009) 10.11.6 El Capitan
the story:
1. starting the installer, run installation - at the time when the Virus receive the firmware update the LCD Display went blinking and freezes.
2. the installer reported an error message.
3. reboot, disconnect all cables, waiting for 30. seconds and boot Virus with "exit" button hold till the Update Mode is shown on the Virus LCD.
4. start Installer again - installation = OK, firmware transfer = OK
5. reboot, Start Virus Controll Center Connect to Virus = OK
6. all seems to be good, i made a backup from the Virus to test some of the Virus Control Center functions = OK
7. did some test in Ableton = OK (messed around about 4h with different settings, all seems to be good)
i will keep an eye on this.
in retirement
witch slots? -> matrix mod?
Thank you!
welcome
greetings from Austria
hi,
try to rescan your plugin folder. in Ableton: under preferences -> file folder -> rescan plug-ins
hi,
yes i used the au plugin but you can load the vst on your host
av presets and ableton project file
make ya own presets and share
hey,
i had similar events with other presets and found a solution for me.
1.) as oliAtBass wrote in comment #7 - change to monophonic if there is no need for poly
2.) avoid to long tails/release or overlapping notes (for example bass and percusions...)
3.) no use of the virus ti reverb (uses much cpu power)
4.) i made an "-Init-" patch that is very minimal (all dials, routings, etc. are 0 or empty) to start from that state
5.) keep your presets as clean as possible (avoid unnecessary routings and settings)
6.) limit the number of tracks/slots you use simultaneously (in my case i use max. 4)
oliAtBass pointed this in post #2
velocity = turn it on in the filter section
ok, i will upload the presets and the ableton project file soon
exact, in the mod matrix you could assign that. you can also map them to the soft knobs
I like that bass preset
