Virus TI Snow OS5 and FL studio 10.0.9

  • Was so frustrated for a response..
Yes i did that. But still not working, bougth FL and after that it just active 1 outport :S

  • I'm using FL 10 too, it's working for me.

    1) First ensure you have this setup under 'Processing' for the Virus TI Channel: note the --, 1, 2.

    2) Now, your FX channels 1,2,3 should correspond to USB1L+R, USB2L+R, and USB3L+R.

This is also demonstrated in the FL Tutorial project. Just try it: route any MIDI-Out channel from the Virus to USB3 L+R, and you'll see that FX # 3 lights up. Same with FX #1 and #2.

  • Sorry for comment it here but... Im working in FL with Virus TI2 and I can't compensate the big delay between Virus and other synths, samples.

    Could anybody help me? ?(

    Thanks

  • WasteMind,

First of all open the Tutorial FL project and you'll see how it's done.

You need to set the Lower Arrow on each FX channel to 98.68 ms (click each FX channel, look at the bottom where you have 2 arrows; select the lower one, then right-click, choose MS milliseconds , then set the value to 98.68 ).

Let me know if this works for you, if not I can post screenshots

It's actually pretty easy, I got rid of all my delays, it's perfect now - I just looked at how they did it in the Tutorial.

  • Here's some more detail:

    1) For the Virus FX channels (i.e. the FX channels where the Virus sounds are sent - you can have a maximum of 3, and each one must point to some FX channel, even if it's blank), make sure the following setting is "None":

    2) But on the MASTER and all other (your own) FX channels, set the value of 98.68 ms for the Lower-Arrow section in the FX delay compensation window below, in MS (milliseconds):

This should do it. What I recommend: Start off with the Tutorial FL project, and build on top of it. Delete the stuff you don't need, and add your own samples and start from there. These settings are built into the FLP Virus Tutorial and that one is guaranteed to work. Let me know any issues.

(The main idea here is that everything else starts a little early to be in line with the Virus - the value of 98.68 ms is standard.)

  • I'm too confused with this in the connections part of fl studio on the virus ti snow tab i only have 1 virus ti option output where as you have 3 , also where is the fl studio project template i clicked the above links but it links me to the support section

hi, first of all please check the following post :
http://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?p=689339 so, if you not pressed cancel to this question:

This version of fl studio does not support delay compensated individuals anymore.
Switch Virus Control to STEREO for compatibility?

then all the outs were closed by fl studio (no matter what u set in the plugin) except the very first one,

solution: open the regeditor then search this entry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Access Music\Virus TI\Virus Control

you gonna see two fl10 keys in the list (Fl10StereoVersion and an other one) , delete them, then start fl add virus and for the question above please select cancel, voilá, all the outs will be accessible again :) (sry for my english :D )

  • All FL Studio users: before you do anything else, do this:

    1) Go to your folder
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Music\Virus TI\Documentation\Tutorials\Imageline FL Studio

    2) Do you see the file
Virus TI Tutorial Song.flp ? If yes, double-click it. This is the Tutorial FLP project. Open it in FL.

    3) Click Play to play the whole song. Is it playing correctly? There should be no delays, crackles, or anything else. Make sure this Tutorial is playing OK. It contains a bunch of Virus sounds/parts arranged in a song.

If everything sounds OK, you have two choices. You can either build on top of this Tutorial - delete the stuff you don't need, and add your own stuff (new samples, new Parts for the Virus TI, new VSTs, etc.) This is what I did, and what I recommend. Or, you can study their settings, and apply them to your other FLP files. You can do that as well, but it's a little more difficult.
