question regarding ableton live with virus ti

    hello, what im trying to achieve is layering effects to virus ti channels so that each effect affects only its target channel and not the entire instrument, the only conventional method i know for loading virus on ableton is adding the vst and then adding a midi track assigned to each channel, in ableton layering an effect on a midi channel takes no effect, is this achieveable? thanks

    The VC is a multitimbral plugin - all 16 MIDI channels going to it (4 in the case of the Snow) are processed by the same engine, not separate instances. Therefore the sound comes out of the same output of the plugin. But actually, the plugin provides 3 output L/R pairs so you can isolate some of your sounds if you want to give them some special treatment. Load the tutorial project if you want an example of how it works. If you want to do it on each of the 16, you will have to realtime-bounce to audio first.
