Virus B output imbalanced Pan

    Hi folks,


    So my Virus B somewhere down the line, has started playing all sounds out of the main output panned slightly to the right.


    Can anyone suggest things to check out to try and get it "back in line"

    I'm guessing that you've already reset the synth to factory settings and checked what an "init" patch sounds like.
    Did you try a new set of TRS cables?
    It could be that one port suffers from corrosion, in which case it would have a different frequency response, not just attenuation. you can check for that by recording a mono patch in stereo matching the levels, then reversing the phase of one channel and mixing down to mono. If by further level adjustment to the stereo channels, you can get down to, say a -60dB level, it is really a panning problem. If the best you can do is get as sound that resembles applying a filter, then you need to clean up/realign/replace at least one port. Also if the jacks are noisy (on the monitors) when gently rattled in the ports, that's a bad sign.
