Are you turning the filter cutoff down before turning the envelope amount up?

Here's a helpful article from Sound on Sound

<p>I'll chime in here too, I've had SPDIF working on the past but that was a long time ago with a different Virus OS and computer. I'm unable to get it working properly now, like others I'm getting clicks in the audio along with a "Clock problem at SPDIF input"</p>
<p>This happens if I have both the Virus SPDIF In and Out connected to my audio interface.</p>
<p>I don't see the clock problem message if I only have the Virus SPDIF output connected to my audio interface SPDIF input and have the Virus audio clock set to Internal and the interface sync source set to SPDIF, however I still experience audio clicks.</p>
<p>I am using a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 and I beleive I have followed these setup instructions to the letter, but I must be doing something wrong as I am still experiencing these issues.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><a href="http://uk.focusrite.com/answerbase/how-do-i-use-the-spdif-inputs-and-outputs-on-the-saffire-or-scarlett">http://uk.focusrite.com/answer…n-the-saffire-or-scarlett</a></p>
<p> </p>
<p>Any advice on correct set up would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Thanks</p>

When you tried using the delay, did you modify the feedback and colouration settings?
-
I seem to recall that there is no way to revert to original state after using the sort alphabetically option. I could be wrong about this though.

I don't think the Maschine is a supported host is it?

I've just checked this for you, it's all working here.
When you mute your tracks, are you doing this from the arrange window or the mixer window?

Logic Pro X? (The black one)
im going in got check this out when I get back to the studio as you shouldn't have any problem routing three sounds to separate outputs and mixing them, that's the point of it.
-
Hi Nicko,
Which version of Logic are you using?
have you routed each sound to its own output, ie USB 1&2 USB 3&4 USB 5&6?
-
That's good to know. Thanks, Marc

for the sake of completeness, let me state first that opening up the unit VOIDS your warranty. end users are not supposed to do so,
Does this also apply to end users who use the rack mounting kit for the TI2 desktop? We have no choice but to open the unit to fit the kit and then we have the option to flip the I/O board to make use of the rear facing sockets.

Good one

Does USB MIDI and 5 pin DIN MIDI play together nice?
Yes
If wanted to use the Virus TI with USB MIDI would it "cause me issues" (polite phrase) with the rest of my gear using 5 pin DIN MIDI?
No

Glad you found the answer, enjoy your Virus

If you are using a Mac place the MIDI file containing the sound bank in
~/Documents/Access Music/Virus TI/Patches
Then open the VC and navigate to the User Patches in the browser window.

Those SOS Synth Secrets articles are great, that's normally the first place I direct people to when they want to learn about synthesis. It does take time to wade through them all but it is worth the effort, even if you just read 2 or 3 a week.
If you prefer a video type tutorial then these are also very good, they're not free but if you watch them you will learn a lot - a months subscription is a good place to start at MPV as that will let you watch any of the tutorials in their huge library.

The Virus plugin causes a massive amount of latency, does Ableton have any kind of plugin delay compensation and do you have it turned on?
