Sorry about that , there is only 4 parts in Virus snow.
I use Virus Ti Desktop that has 16 parts.
Do a search here (Forum) about snow.
As others have had the same problems as you.
That will show the work arounds for you !
2 ways to work VC Control or Standalone hands on , old school.

Can play up to 16 parts per project with only the one instance per project.
ie: 16 midi tracks for each 16 parts.
Or load as an instrument track , again only one instance per project.
ie: 1 instrument track , but can layer different parts on the 1 track.
Load into Logic as multi-timbral this should give you 16 midi tracks
Each midi track is each part. ie: midi 1 is part 1 , midi 2 is part 2 etc etc
Have you got record buttons on for each midi track in logic !!
Are your outputs in USB ? in the Virus.
Which modes do you want to change ?
I'm on imac 10.5.8 + logic 9 using Virus Ti desktop.
Need a little bit more info ie: What your using in setup ?

I agree it would be good to have iMac & Windows in specific sections.
As sometimes you get lost ready other peoples problems, which have no relevance,
if your own setup is different.
I'm still yet to find anyone that has exactly the same setup & versions that I have !!
Don't forget every one has a slightly different setup to your own.
But.......Your Virus Rules......are just taken from the........Virus TI Setup Guide.
If everybody read there Manuals for Virus....Logic....Cubase....etc etc etc
There wouldn't be as many issues in here & other Forums !!
But.......There is nothing stopping you from starting a specific post on here,
'The Workings & findings' with Logic 9....IMac....etc

I just had a fix by customer support 
& as like you couldn't find or how to attach files.
So I sent initial report (about problem)
when I got reply from support with (Ticket No) sent back to me.
I was then able to add the files needed to send back via email.
Once you start a topic, stick to same subject line & include your ticket number.
OR.........Start a new email , addressed to..................[email protected]
Should be able to attach any needed files on this.

Hi......Just to let you know this problem is FIXED
I had static on in EFX 1 page for most patches.....
which was the cause to weird & strange sounds.
MUST SAY WHAT FANTASTIC SERVICE BY ACCESS SUPPORT
I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY THEIR HELP & FAST RESPONSE
I'LL GIVE THEM AN........A+++ OR 15 OUT OF 10

Yep have sent email, Then attached the projects Logic 9 & Cubase 4 on return reply.
As I don't know how to do a zip file as yet.........
Support has been in contact with me already..........WOW what great service.
Shall report back here on any finding on the strange & weird sounds created.

But I coudn't attach the projects on to this form.....
As they wouldn't attach to support form.....So when they send me something via email I'll be able to then...I Hope !!

OK I've tried above in Cubase 4 & exactly the same results as above
Weird & strange noises.....
Tried doing recording in 8 track but I'm getting extra hum.....
So latter I'll record using Mic from monitors into 8 track then back into Logic.
Then can email to anyone interested in this problem.
So which is the problem sounds like ............Virus Control.........to me
Or I wonder if these are old patches that don't suit todays Virus.
Love to now what other people think or get when trying this.
If you want me to send email with this on it let me know please.

EDIT......Just opened #1 project above & turned all patches , vol down in Virus Control.
SILENCE........Until I turn up a patch individually.....one at a time & found the culprit patches
1, 3 , 4 , 5 patches create there own noise when sliding vol in Virus Control........

Have tried re-loading all patches.......BUT still the same weird noise.
I know the Virus can make some pretty weird sounds anyway.......But this is ridiculous
Can play sounds on keyboard on patches 2 & 6
BUT to much white noise etc on other patches........Impossible to use keyboard........A Mystery !!!!!!

OK I just loaded up these patches as Muti-timbral using Virus TI Desktop (Latest Vers) into Logic 9
Virus's USB Straight into imac intel core 2 duo 10.5.8 / 2.4Ghz / 4Gb & using Edirol UA-25Ex as interface
No other Apps or Synths running,.............JUST...........Logic & Virus Control
& got some really weird sounds without touching anything.
As soon as I open project.
Have tried turning every thing completely off & back on again......Nothing
Tried turning....Live Button on & off.................Makes it worse !!!!
Tried turning....Play & Stop & Play & Stop.....Makes it Worse !!!
Be very interested If anyone else's will do this strange thing.

There is about 2/3rd's showing in Virus's input into logic & logic's main outputs.
I'm going to record these strange sounds without playing or touching anything
into old Multi-8 track recorder
then back into logic......so I then have proof of these weird sounds &
then will be able to send by email to those that need the proof.
Also have another lot of patches doing similar.....but not as bad as above's.

Must be some disturbance of some kind.
All midi channel strips in logic showing slight movement.
Main problem here is patch.......Forever M
Every time I load it into midi slot there is a load......click with echo
I wonder if this is a Virus TI software problem !! OR a Logic 9 problem !!
So if someone with similar setup to mine can try this I'd like to know if same happens to you.
Have M-audio 49e keyboard hooked up as well..........But not touching this at all.
Just had a thought while posting this ,I still have Cubase 4 which I haven't used for a while ,
will load up same as above & see if this happens in there..............
Shall report back on this , then will know if it's Virus or Logic or All

I'm with you on that one......Virus TI is an AMAZING piece of gear.
Good score for you on the Ebay......You won't regret that purchase.

As mentioned in other post I've done here about 'Driving Virus TI
with VG-99' (Guitar To Midi) Well I put a tune together using this method
after owning VG-99 for only 3 weeks.......
Shall post this tune in other post when I work out how to use "Soundcloud"

I've been experimenting down the path of recording 'Guitar to Midi' using Gibson's 'Dark Fire' Guitar, in Hex mode
into Roland's VG-99 to drive Virus TI Synth. Using Virus Control into Logic,
All seems to be tracking rather well.
Like to know has anybody else tried this sort of setup out.............ie: Guitar To Midi !!..........Using the Virus TI
If so would like to here your experience's ie: Type of Guitar your using etc or any Tips or Tricks that might help.
I've been able to select 6 sounds in Virus Control & play each sound separately on each string on the Guitar.
As this is truly a wonderful & different way of doing things.
Any Tips or Special Tricks from anyone doing this type of thing, Gratefully Appreciated 
If no one does this sort of thing here, I will still share my experience's as I go along.

I have a home studio setup , Non smoking No Food or Drinking & Dust free consisting of :
iMac 10.5.8 / 2.4 Ghz / 4Gb / 20" screen + 2nd 20" screen / Edirol UA-EX25 ( Usb ) / RIP ( Firewire ) / Zoom MRS multi 8 track recorder,
NI Kore 2 & heaps of sound packs / Maschine / Komplete 5 + 6 / free plugins ie; Crystal / Cheese machine & TAL products etc etc
120w Monitors / many Zoom & Boss Guitar pedals / Fender Bass Guitar / Takamine Acou...Elec / Gibson Les Paul Standed 2007 model,
I'm presently using Logic 9 Pro Studio ( Fav ) but also have Cubase 4 & Ableton Live,
OH & of cause Access Virus TI Desktop with M-Audio Keyboard,
Also have Gibson Dark Fire / Roland VG-99 & FC-300 & all the other things collected over time ie: Amps / Mic's / Headphones etc etc etc
I use to play Guitar as 15yo But stopped when I found out all about........Women
Got Married had Kids.........................Got Divorced.......................Been there done that. !!!! 
Started my venture back into music scene sometime in 2006 & having a great time learning & creating all type's of music.
I'm not in a band, I create & perform all my own music, & loving doing this !!! 
I like using & recording Virus in the analog / standalone mode as it's more hands on................But thats just me!!!
But also use as Virus Control, especially using the Dark Fire to drive Virus though the VG-99 ( Guitar to Midi )
