Thanks, Richard, I certainly didn't know that!

Can't hear anything in the first video, how would you describe it?
And what causes the sound in the second?
EG
I personally think the Virus part of the business is in shutdown mode, with a skeleton crew for support, so why would they suddenly take on any new development?
EG
Disappointing, but no great surprise. Just watch the used prices creep up! They had already started, at least in Australia.
EG
Very tidy, aiiiiii!
EG
I've not seen any, aside from using MIDI with a low-latency MIDI interface.
EG
Do you mean the Virus VST? What OS version are you talking about? Mac or Windows?
EG
It's a little better on iOS, but still requires a bit of waiting and clicking around. The links to free stuff also don't work.
EG
Sounds pretty great! Are all the synth sounds in the last song, included in the sound bank? (Clearly not the drum or vocal samples.) The pad that comes in at 2:15 is pretty tasty!
Cheers,
EG
Forgot about this thread! It turned out that my Emu 0404 would no longer work with Windows 10, so I just bought a Steinberg UR-22. I'll do a comparison of the TI analog outs to running through the Steiny/Yamaha pre-amps and see how that sounds.
P.S: Have recently been doing a lot of bass and arp comparisons between my TI, OP-X Pro 2 and MiniMonsta and I still prefer the TI for tighter sounds and OP-X for others. The in-built Saturator in Ableton Live is also quite nice for fattening up the TI, when you want something in-between.
Cheers,
EG
Yes, the 5.1.1.0 Beta is the latest Windows version. It works pretty well with Windows 10, but you still can't push USB too hard.

EG
I just did some testing on my (similar) setup and Virus USB Ch 1 is routed into the Pre FX, Post FX and Post Mixer inputs. Not sure if you can get that level of split on Ch 2 and 3, but at least all 3 are separated.
cheers,
EG
Are you using the TI as your sound card, or have something else? Do you have other synths you need to keep in sync? Or just the TI2?
You can definitely route your patch output through the analog outs, but all track synching, within your DAW, will still be happening over USB. Therefore, I suspect you'll still get synch issues, with any complex parts or arps. Have you tried that already?
Cheers,
EG
That has to be the worst font I've ever seen, hahaha.
EG
The TI has 16 patches, yes, but only 3 physical stereo outputs and (2 or) 3 USB stereo outputs. You can certainly share outputs across multiple patches, but if you want to render all tracks separately, into their own audio tracks in Live, you'll need to do it in multiple takes/passes.
Hope that makes sense!
EG
Do you mean Multi mode? Which is available, running standalone or MIDI...
EG
Great work!
EG
No, you don't need to uninstall the software from the old one. Only need to copy across any downloaded sound banks, if you have any. (For use in Virus Control Browser.)
Are you moving from 32-bit to 64-bit O.S and software? That will have more impact. Need to install the 64-bit TI software in the right folder, so that Cubase will see the plugin.
EG
There might be a MIDI Program Change in the file, forcing the Virus to change patches.
