I think some more simple analog sounds to build from.. I find a lot of the sounds on board are so complex, nothing to add impossible to learn... Im new to this but find it taxing to go through the worthless sound effect to find normal sounds.... Last but not least..... I PRAY THE VALUE BUTTONS GO AWAY AND YOU USE A KNOB TO GO THROUGH THE PATCHES!!!!!

Which sounds are you missing for the Virus?

More Gary Numan like sounds as e.g. Polymoog, Minimoog, Phasersounds
ARP Odyssey & Oscar sounds like Billy Currie from Ultravox
-
80's Tangerine Dream / PPG choir emulations, or at least a hotter formant vocal wavetable like the #52 Spectral Wave.
The famous "Sara Fairlight" Arr1 voice! Almost got that with a Blofeld! -

Do you mean exact replicas of Numan sounds, ready to cover the songs?
Beacuse IMO, you can do typical Moog like sounds with little effort, if you know the Moog characteristics and follow the Synthesizer Programming Tutorials. Maybe it's obvious, but key is to use the Analog 4 Pole LP mode for Filter 1. -

A short clip about recreating analog Moog Minimoog sounds on the Access Virus TI.

Don't miss any sounds at all, what's not in it can be made
-
Right, It can be made, but only if the hardware is similar (enough) and this is not always the case. To reproduce a sound, it might be helpful if users post hardware settings of their desired sounds describing the routing, starting from the OSCs, settings for ADSR, Filtering and their behaviour in the time domain. Often it is possible to gather that information from the knob settings of real analog synths and / or MIDI dumps if available. The biggest issue is routing: Analog synths with free wiring capabilities offer an unlimited umber of possible routing variants which is even hard to emulate in my hardware - an I am nearly able to program anything.

definitely neuro basses and growls !

-
Makina Leads... Not hyper/super saws.
-
Rich, deep, ambient pianos. In fact, any decent piano.
-
Very funny, John! What about sounds that can actually be done on the Virus?

hi everybody,
let us know which sounds you're missing. please indicate genres and categories, for instance "progressive polka leads"
- obviously there are a couple of things which the virus cannot do such as realistic pianos or natural drums. no need to mention those. we're considering new sounds set right now. this is your chance to help us fill the gaps.
thanks a lot, marc
Any progress/news on this?

I'm looking for a good Sitar sound please.
Yeah, Sitar would be good and a kind of Digeridoo also
Even if a sampler is maybe a most appropriate instument to obtain something more realistic.there is sitar , look at ram-c 83 sitar zs

Solina and other stringmachines. That's all down to the chorus, so an ensemble chorus would be great

I really love some drones, atmospheric soundscapes in Virus. Something heavily processed with fx, bandpass filters and interesting modulations. Would love to hear more of that atmospheres - imo i think its that type of sounds virus exceeds
Also i'd love to see more Virus B soundbanks as Virus Classic user:) -

There are a couple of free sets available for download on the virus.info website. If I remember correctly, try these:
- The Unfinished Chiaroscuro Signature Set
- HGSounds Astronomy Patches
- Efrain Beccera Astral Demo Patches
- Numb - 0714 Sound Set
- Tarekith Elemental soundset
And a shameless plug for fellow forumite Sebastian and his Ultimate X Sounds. His sound sets are really well made. Personally I totally dig Atmosphere 1 & 2 and will probably get 4 as well:
