Yep, definitely does that-

It goes to 0 volume and loud enough, but I don't know if it is perfectly calculated to the 0-127 scale. Many of my patches are set to max volumes below 127 anyway, so it is not an issue for me at all.

Solved, total user error. Midi Volume disabled globally.
Duh!
Hey, Virus folks-
I have a Yamaha FC7 and use it with many keyboards. I plugged it into the Virus TI2 Polar Ctrl input, set it to #7 Volume and it has no effect. I am using OS 5.0.8. If I change the Ctrl settings to Pan #10, or other things such as OSC1 Pitch, it works perfectly.
I cannot seem to get it to control the volume.
Any ideas?
Thanks-

You are all Welcome !
Hi, Mystic-
Just curious as to how you figured this out. Was it just experimentation?
Great feature, man.

Not sure if this already common knowledge, but I just discovered this.
It is a "hidden" feature, but works perfectly. I updated to 5.0.8 yesterday and programmed my own custom pattern into my TI2 Polar using the method shown here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLZqMFOfYqI
Using the Transpose as the destination, the height of the individual steps will give you values that are translated to the different notes you want to sound. 64 is the actual played note, and each number is one semitone higher or lower. Using this method, it is possible to program any sequence of notes you need in the arpeggiator.
I almost purchased another keyboard to get this feature, but the Virus can do it.
Try it out!

I know this is an old thread, but is there any way to program the notes that are played in an arpeggio? Can I do this using the ARP->Matrix and setting the arp destination to transpose?
Thanks-
-dj
Do a search on this here and you will see some of the longest threads are about this very subject.
You will do very well with this product.
Please let us know when it is available-

I always power off everything in my studio when I am done. I have a single switch that powers it on or off. I leave it on for hours at a time, but never leave it running all night. This is essentially the same as pulling the power cord to my Ti2 Polar.

I was under the impression that the Virus needed its own USB bus to operate the VC plugin effectively-

Just get the FC7. Built like a tank, works well. I have one that is over 30 years old and still works perfectly.
Thanks, Bob.
Appreciate the input.
My Ashly line mixer would do that, but I will try the single cable solution first.

Just want to confirm that if I configure the Pan setting for a patch for center 0/0, then the output of both Analog 1 and 2 will be the same, essentially a mono signal. I want to send a mono signal to my line mixer when playing live.
Thanks-

I would spend the extra money and get a Motu Midi Express.

Except for the fact that the TI2 Keyboard has textured black keys, the action is the same, and is very high quality.

I bought my TI2 Polar a few months ago and have no regrets. Sure, it was expensive, but it is a deep synth and will provide sound design depth for years. Plus, Access seems so far pretty good at SW updates and support. I also have a Nord Stage 2 and Clavia is famous for taking care of its customers.
This unit will hold its value, like the Nord. For example, I bought a Nord Wave in 2011 for $1940 and sold it two years later for $1800. I don't know of any Korgs, Rolands, or Yamahas, or Apples that hold their value like that.
The Access products are well-built, well supported, and feature rich, in my opinion. Just because the technology is from 2009 means nothing in my opinion. The Romplers from the big three still utilize technology from the days of the Korg M1.

Motion Sound went out of business a couple of months back, so you may want to consider that.
You may want to look into the QSC K-Series of powered speakers. They sound great, and are small and easy to carry.

Well, I am not sure this is documented, but I right-clicked in the browse window and got an option to load the entire bank from the HW. This is exactly what I was looking for. I guess the syncing of the Virus Control plugin to the HW does not include the ROM Banks.
