All good here as well on 10.2.
I've been looking for a traveling bag for the Ti Desktop too. Here are some links but they are made for Ti Polar, not for the desktop version. I reckon we still can use it.
Sound Diver is pretty hard to find these days but i reckon you can email access support and ask them if they can send you a copy.
Anyway, here are some options you can look into:
1) Mysteryislands-music.com made a VSTi Librarian Editor Plug-in for Access Virus a,b and c users @ http://www.mysteryislands-musi…-editor-librarian-plug-in
2) MidiQuest @ https://www.squest.com/Products/MidiQuest11/index.html
3) Virus Editor @ http://rekonaudio.com/access-m…ail/7/flypage/26?sef=hcfp
I have just bought a Virus Ti2 Polar and i use with Logic 9.
How do you do when you want to use the Virus for more than one track?
One way i found out was. New tracks-Softwareinstruments-Multitimbral
Au instruments-access-Virus-multi output
But if i do it that way i found out that i can't put EQ on all tracks just one
Is there a better way to do it? I'm all new to this so please be patient with me
New tracks-Softwareinstruments-Multitimbral is correct. Just select how many instances you want.
Your best option is to use the EQ function within the VC to EQ your sound or bounce your selected sound realtime to either wave or aiff file format and EQ them.
hi i am new to this so please make it simple for me.
i am using reaper and when i get the virus ti up in daw it asks me if i wont the following tracks for this effect if not only the stereo 1/2 outputs will be audible without vfurther routing.
stereo 1/2 new track 2 virus ti1
stereo 3/4 new track 3 virus ti2
stereo 5/6 track new track 4 virus ti3
i thought i should have 16 channels? whats wrong please help, also how do i get more the one sound working in multi i cant find the info in the manual.
Hey mate, i was wondering too on how to do this in Reaper 4 and i found out how to go about it.
1) Launch a new project and go to Track menu. Select insert a virtual Instrument on a new track. Select the Virus TI plugin.
2) Then a page will pop up with > stereo 1/2 new track 2 virus ti1, stereo 3/4 new track 3 virus ti2, stereo 5/6 track new track 4 virus ti3..Click NO.
3) Click on your FX Track 1 "Virus Ti" page, you will see Options menu located at the top left in the same window. Select Build 16 channels of Midi Routing to this track. 16 multi channels will be created and linked to the Virus TI.
Select channel/track 2 and enable record. You should trigger the Virus TI (Track 1) and make sure you enable the Record Monitoring just below the FX button (triangle icon) to hear the sound. If you don't enable the Recording Monitoring, you will not hear any sound. If you can't see the Recording Monitoring icon, enlarge the track and you will see it.
Hey a5hl3y2k6, i'm not sure if this helps but do try.
Launch VC and click Patch Utility. Select USB Audio mode and set it > 3 Outs/ No Input. Then remove the VC plugin. Analog Output will be available as soon as you set this up.
3 Outs/ 1 Input does disable the analog output somehow.
Also, i had Logic use Access Virus TI as the main audio out/in in the preferences page.
AUval is a part of the developer tools and those are, for instance, available through the app store. search for "Xcode".
Ah..i see. Thanks Marc for the infos. I did not know it was in the Xcode. Thanks again
I'm looking for it as well. I could not find it in AppStore. I would like to try out this Auvaltool as well and hopefully Marc can provide us a link.
You could try out Reaper 4. http://www.reaper.fm/
I totally agree with what Neuromodulator posted. Good mindset & attitude always invites others to help.
Thanks guys for the .mov download links and found a way to download them .mov files as well. Truly appreciate it.
I'm learning so much with these tutorials. Awesome and keep them coming.
Awesome Tutorials. Keep them comin!!!
Marc, are the bootcamp video tutorials be available for downloads via the resources page?
I do hope we can download the videos hence we can study them lessons offline.
Reedit > Just to post all current .mov links:
Basically, it's a simple saw oscillator into distortion. The right kind and amount of distortion is crucial for the "ripping" feel.
Phaser also goes very well with such sounds. A nice trick is to use the phaser in "static" mode (LFO rate = 0) and adjust phaser frequency for desired tone.
I can post the patch - need to remember to do it when I'm home; if I forget, feel free to remind me
Hey boreg, can you upload the patch u made? Would be really great to try your patch.
As much as I love virus ti. The 2 reasons that I am going to be selling it soon is because the terrible sync issues and you cannot do a bounce in place like VSTi/AUs plug-ins. The fact that there is not offline audio bounce support makes working with this beast difficult.
Hopefully this feature will be applied in future upgrades and the sync issue with arp/lfo will be fixed.
All keyboard requires you to use online bounce may it be a Nordlead, Roland, Korg etc. That's how it was done back in the 80's with MIDI and still is till today. Imagine having 20 keyboard parts and we need to bounce all sound to a 2 inch tape "online"..hahaha
Virus TI is using the USB as a connection like MIDI and with the ease of the TI plugin, it helps us users to navigate preset sounds faster and sound tweaks with the TI plugin.
I wouldn't sell the Virus just because we can't bounce offline, not for this reason.
I do agree that the sync arp issues still needs attention but hopefully it get fixed soon.
