Yup. It's a super piece of software. Jani who is the ceo is also very helpful on the support front.

People argue over this. C Sounds fatter etc. I have to disagree.
It sounds different maybe but anybody that thinks a ti2 is inferior needs serious help.

Aura plug in does way more than the virus TI plug in.
The ti plug in is fine for ti mode but if working in multi mode as I like to do, it's bloody hopeless.
Although aura requires you to sync, so does the ti plug in when you first connect up.
If using multiple virus's as I do, it's hopeless!
Well worth the fee even if to just transfer certain sounds between synths.
-
I didn't know that, but then again I always store any edits that I make to the single patch to a ram slot and then reference it from the multi which circumnavigates this issue anyway.
-
That would be beautiful... If you find one let me know!

Sounds like you're having a real headache. I've already mentioned in another thread that you really need to update your pc and os preferably to a mac.
That aside if the ti software doesn't like cubase, try uninstall cubase completely, then installing the latest ti software, then reinstalling cubase maybe?
Sadly with windows and specifically xp you're going to have problems I'm sorry to say.
Trying to troubleshoot windows xp remotely is not a challenge for the feint of heart. Due to the nature of the os, anything and everything could interfere with your daw and ti install.
I really wish I could be of more help.
Kind regards.

Hi there.
Can you elaborate?
Is this changing via Midi cc message or just from the virus itself?
Multi mode or Single?
What does it do (or not do)?
Sounds strange. I've never had a problem changing patches.
Cheers.

Hi all,
I've noticed on all my Virus to a greater or lesser degree that the mod wheels are not straight. That is that they run out of parallel with the cut outs in the case.
This is far worse with my white polar than the others but they all run out to some degree.
I stripped the polar only a few days ago and whilst in there removed the housing with the mod wheel and pitch bend but couldn't see an easy way to resolve the issue. In fact I couldn't see an easy way to remove the mod wheel at all.
Any advice on how to remove the mod wheel from it's housing and straighten it up would be greatly appreciated!
I did see that there was a nut on the pot shaft but I don't have a spanner slim enough to get on there if indeed that is the way to remove it.
I can only think that the shaft from the pot must be at an angle. Maybe the pot isn't sitting parallel in the housing? It's a small detail but I'm a fussy beggar!
abraxa any ideas my friend?
Cheers.

I ran a 61 Key for a long time with a Roland A800-Pro controller keyboard slaved up to it to basically give me "2x Virus'"
Long story short I purchased another virus (two to be exact).
IMO there's simply no substitute to having the keyboard and all the knobs right there at your disposal in front of you.
I can't operate with a desktop - it just feels disjointed to me - a bit like VSTs in a computer, I'm constantly coming away from my creative flow to mess about with something away from my keyboard.
I'd go with a 61 every day of the week.

It's been like that since day dot I believe mate.
Was very clean inside too considering - it's been looked after so I am now the proud owner of 3 x Virus TI2s - all in exceptional condition, and boxed.
My own little piece of Synth history.
Should be plenty of firepower for recording and world domination...
Thanks for all of your help, it's good to know that people like you and Oli exist.
Cheers.

Today I bought a used TI2 desktop version from 2020 in immaculate condition
Welcome to the addicts club.
Congratulations.
Don't be hasty to sell that piece of history.
There's a lot to learn, some quirks.
I'm still very much learning !

OK - problem discovered.
abraxa Video attached.
Not much I can do TBF.
Given that it's not POLY aftertouch and is more channel aftertouch I'll live with it:

Are you using a USB 3 port ?...Use USB 2

I know this isn't helpful but you're running Windows XP.
You really need to upgrade your PC but I've a feeling you know this anyway.
There will always be computer problems unfortunately - especially with Windows.
Again - I hate to sound like some kind of 'fan boy' asa they cal them these days but a Mac is far more stable for Music production.
As an example I purchased a top of the range HP Notebook - over £1000 running WinDoze and got no end of audio problems despite optimising the hell out of it (I do this for a living - or part of my living at least). Having spent days optimising it, I returned it to the store as unfit for purpose.
I then purchased a MacBook Pro. Turn on, Install Software, plug in, done, perfect.
I know this doesn't help answer the question but you're sadly not going t get far with Windows XP that has install problems. It could be literally anything. Look in the event viewer and see if the system or application logs give you any clues.
I'm not sure if the windows installer for VC generates its own install logs but you could have a prod around and see if there are any.
Cheers.

Some good points, nothing beats the hardware IMO, but it's cool mac users and owners of defective hardware have an alternative option
I hope access makes a TI3 someday, I'll be the first in line for one
You'll be behind me and a lot of others on this forum. TI2 is still a classic though !

Cheers buddy.
Certainly a weird one.
As you know the issue I raised with my Darkstar (I bought 2 x virus' this month - it has to stop) was not actually an issue - phew.
This one however, is definitely something amiss.
I've messaged the seller to see what he wants to do. He can either have it back or I'll open it up.
Happy to do so but obviously if I find something 'wrong' then I don't want the response of "you opened it up" - pretty much the same scenario as the last time I posted. Guess it's not my lucky month - or maybe it is depending upon which way you look at it ?
Incidentally - where would one acquire a key if required and at what kind of cost ?
Thanks again - I'll keep you informed.

In the ARP section - hold down the edit button whilst plugging your virus in.
No idea why it's suddenly behaving itself though ???
