I don't really think so. You need to download the appropriate update for your Virus A, which is labeled Virus A Series 2.80- http://virus.info/api/download…ies%20OS%202.80%20English

You automate LFO(x) rate
Note: can't be done at the moment with lfos set to clocked.
-
You need to route up to 16 different MIDI tracks on the 16 different MIDI channels to the SINGLE instance of the plugin.
1 plugin will give you 16 parts - 1 Virus connected will only support 1 plugin.
-
The Virus Control plug-in will take care of that
You can use your own sound-card/audio interface as main card - with its own drivers. As long as you use VC the audio will still be streamed flawlessly via USB. I think THAT is marketed as "sample accurate", not the ASIO drivers which still depend on the CPU you're using. If you don't have a good sound-card it's good to use the Virus as such. If you do have one, there's very little need to change it.

Is it "out of time" meaning that the arp doesn't stay in time or "out of time" meaning that the arp is steady but the sound comes a bit earlier than the other tracks?
-
No of course not
I asked because it is such a "young" Virus I was wondering if other people ad their own wear so "much" in so little. My uQ is 10-11 years old and its paint (which has a different finish) is only ruined in the ears' corners (some people don't even know how to rack-mount stuff) and slightly worn around the encoders and buttons.
I'd give my Virus away only if I really needed the money to, let's say, buy another one... -

More than one. Lol. you'll be lucky to get 3-4 channels to run in multi mode before you run out of steam. Unless you mean you have 2 virus synths into the same computer in which case only god can help you ; )
Nice and very correct.
That's why my single Virus always does from 5 to 9 channels, it's probably Flying Spaghetti Monster helping me from above

Have you tried reading the manual and opening the demo project?
Anyway, you only have one Virus Control. You need to route up to 16 MIDI tracks (16 different MIDI channels) to it in order to use more than one sound at once. I don't know how it's made in Cubase, but the project shows it.

Is it supported? :p

The best way is usually to upload to an external server (or one of those services providing free space, like Dropbox)

In mod matrix, set source = Controller # (there's some of them that are free, like Controller 9, Controller 12 etc) - destination as wanted (filter 1 cutoff; phaser mix), amount as required.
Then you can use a CC# from your DAW or assign a soft knob to control those parameters -
You can't do it directly (at least in this OS), you need to set up a controller (e.g. cc#13) to control both phaser mix and filter cutoff

Hello forum. I've been pondering a bit about posting this thread because this is a very minor issue, but ultimately decided to.
The paint finish is coming off from some parts of my Virus. It's very minor, it looks like it's scratched a bit and I can cope with it, but it's rather annoying when the "dent" is right there in my sight. The paint has come off in the lower border in a place where usually my right hand rests while programming the synth, the angle/bend just above the "wooden" front panel. It's just a few millimeters and again it's minor, but it sucks. It's not scratched with the nails, the paint just came off with normal use, revealing the metal beneath. The longest part is less than 1cm long, and 99% of it is concentrated on that side, between the imaginary lines from Soft Knob 3 and Value+ button - i.e. where I keep my right hand during programming. There's a couple of dots on the left side of the synth, too, but they're even smaller.
The Virus has never been cleaned with anything else than those dry, soft cloths used to clean eyeglasses' lenses. No moist nor chemicals. It's 15 months old, got it home on 16 November 2009.
What can I do if I want it repaired? Is it common? This is a picture of the "damage". I hope it's clear enough - the white parts are the aluminum showing up and reflecting my camera's flash.

Keep it pressed all the way down while the Virus boots. Polarity should be reversed.

Why didn't you install the latest OS ? It's not the beta, it's the stable one. It should have already fixed some or all the windows size problems.

All the three options (surge protection, UPS and dedicated card taking its power from the PCI/PCIe bus instead of the main mainboard rails) could help very much in your electrical problems and also be a decent investment if you intend on using your computer for whatever purpose. If the power is indeed so unstable, it is not only interrupting your workflow, it's probably wearing your computer too
