in the patch panel on the left side, you rename patches by double clicking the name, in the browser, use ALT-Click.

i know that, and thats why i wrote, because it doesnt work

You are possibly trying to change patch names in a ROM-Bank, this does not work, of course.
What are you actually trying to rename?

LOL, no im not, any patch, init, or rename a patch from a bank, im using virus almost a year so i know this isnt normal, because it worked before on preverious os, aswel naming/renaming works just fine on Reaper for example, only on FL for some reason it doesnt work

That's definitely not a known issue with OS 4.0.5.
The very first thing I would try to do is to reset the TI Snow and also shut down the computer, wait a few seconds and then restart it. To reset the Snow, remove all cables from it, wait a few seconds, then put the power cable back in and hold down the TAP TEMPO button on the TI Snow for a few seconds, then connect it back to the PC and start the computer again.
If the reset doesn't help, I would reinstall the software.Best wishes,

themachine, you are causing unnecessary headache to the access team. It has nothing t do with the virus. In FL in your wrapper options turn off "Dont allow keyboard focus" and then you will be able to rename patches.

Hi, I ve got the same issue on ableton, cannot change patch names....
-
I found this excerpt in p.222 of the Ableton Live 8 manual:
ZitatMacintosh only: The floating editor windows of some VST Plug-ins do not receive computer key strokes. This is generally an implementation error in the plug-in itself. If it is necessary to type into a plug-in window, for instance for entering a serial number or unlock code, hold down [↑ ] while clicking the Plug-In Edit button. The editor window will then appear as a "normal" application window, rather than as a floating window, and receive your typing.
Note that this functionality is intended only as a workaround for the limitations of such plugins. We recommend closing the window after you have nished typing, then reopening it normally before working with the plug-in parameters. -
i've just tried it myself and renaming works fine in ableton live 9 on a mac. do you know that you have to hold the ALT key when you rename in the browser?
