I was looking for a drum machine (and for more poliphonic sound) to combine with the Virus TI2ì. I use Cakewlak seq with OS W7 PC. I was thinking for the MC-808 by Roland but out of procuction and now I have no idea. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank a lot.

I used to use the Korg EMX-1. This thing is a beast AND it will help you because it also has 5 synth parts.

Elektron Machinedrum - I have the UW +Drive version... incredible unit in my opinion!

out of curiosity does anyone know why the virus ti2 needs to be connected to read the tutorials
im thinking that there might be som spare rom space
if so there might be a future update with sample ability
ergo drum machine

Lol, wut? I don't need to connect my TI to read any of the tutorials
-
i know it sounds daft but trust me it did, but only on the first time
went to read the Howard Scarr tutorial, then got a screen asking me to attach the ti, then got a progress bar that took about two minutes, then the tutorial popped up,so you tell me
baffling! -
HS's tutorial predates the TI line and I can access (no pun intended) it on my mobile phone. I had read it long before I bought my Virus
-
yeah me too,i read it when i got my virus b in 2001
but this is besides the point,
was just wondering wtf happened and trying to save someone from spending 700 euros on a drum machine that they might not need -

, I totally agree my EMX and Virus are awesome together and i use them both for a lot of live application and the multi mode in conjunction with the EMX is RADICAL!

I love hooking up my MC-505 to the Virus and jamming out. They are both so immediate with their hardware interfaces. If I was going to buy a new drum machine I would probably go with a Machinedrum though, they look amazing.
