Yep, sounds too realistic to be a synth patch.

Do you mean the orchestral string sample that plays from the very start? If so, cant really do a realistic version on the Virus, only a rough interpretation.
Cheers,
EG
Are you in Single or Multi mode? Does it happen for all patches?
EG
My guess is you need to arm (set to record) the right track in FL, then the corresponding part will play on the Snow. I've noticed this in Ableton Live, especially after adding a new MIDI track and forgetting to click the "arm" button on the new track. You can click different parts in the Virus VST plugin, but nothing changes.
EG
I see what you did there...
EG
Do you really think you'll get any sort of response or help by swearing and generally being an asshole? Understood that you want to rant at the company and software developers for numerous issues, but abusing the support guys ain't going to work.
EG
If you don't hear back from Access, have you thought of taking it to a (high quality) automotive panel-beating shop? I imagine they would be able to do it, but not sure if they would do something so small.
How bad is the scuff?
EG
You have to be logged in, it will appear when you choose Virus TI Series, Software Installer Public Beta Versions, from the drop lists.
EG
Great to hear, Dan! (Apart from the laptop!) Live and a Snow is a pretty good setup, especially if you use some good quality beats and FX. (I mostly use Zenhiser, which are Brisbane-based, I think.)
Cheers,
Justin
Just to check the obvious, is the Snow turned on and connected to USB, before you open Ableton?
EG
Yes, what setting do you have for your VST folder? (In the Folder tab.) would normally be C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins. Can Live see the Virus ASIO plugin? Is it in the drop list? Have you tried it with the Virus as the audio driver, instead of the Focusrite?
Im running a Snow with Ableton 8 and Windows 10 64 bit and had to upgrade to the Beta 5.1.1.0 drivers to get past a Glitching issue, maybe you should consider that, if you can't get 5.0.8 working soon. I've also had to reinstall the Virus drivers multiple times to get past a similar issue to yours, can be frustrating!
Cheers,
EG
Wow! Thanks, Mitchiemasha! I've got a project that always draws out Mr Crackle, so I'll do some digging, as per your instructions!
EG
The Multi setup, described by boreg, will work with any TI and MIDI keyboard. The keyboard needs to be transmitting on the same MIDI channel as specified in the 2 multi parts, of course.
EG
Yep, I've recently had that with my setup, it sounds like a "stumble". No solution, as yet.
EG
I've heard you can just email Access to say you've sold it to the buyer (providing the name, if you wish) and the buyer can then email to register it in their name. They won't be able to access the private part of the forum until it's done.
EG
Not sure if you've tried this already, but I recently had to reinstall (using the Repair option) the 5.1.1 TI update to make it recognise my TI again. I did all the reboot/reset options and all the right files were in the right place, but neither VCC or Ableton could find the TI until I reinstalled again.
Cheers,
EG
I just updated my TI OS to Public Beta 5.1.1.0, to fix a Glitching issue, but now I'm experiencing occasional digital distortion, when using the VST in Ableton Live. It doesn't seem to be volume related or even when the TI is pushed very hard, but does seem to happen pretty soon after switching a patch when a song is playing. Most of the time, it's just tiny little crackles at the edges of the stereo sound-stage, but occasionally, it's more prominent. Any of it would ruin a recording session, of course, so it's not really acceptable.
Cheers,
EG
Nicely done! I'd even consider buying a Blofeld, just to get that soundset!
